To celebrate my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary we wanted to do something extra special. My parents had a double wedding and were married on the same day as my aunt and uncle. My aunt is my dad’s sister and my uncle is my mom’s brother. (I know it sounds confusing). We decided to put our efforts together with my sisters and cousins and throw them an unforgettable anniversary party.
We found a venue, we sent out invitations, we brainstormed on the theme and decided on the menu. The planning took months and everyone had a task they were responsible for; whether it was designing the invites, preparing the decorations, flower arrangements or desserts. When the day of the party came around, every one did their part and everything came together perfectly. We could not have chosen a more stunning venue for this event. The large windows with the view of the golf course and the beautiful golden chandeliers added a luxurious feel. We chose to used gold chiavari chairs that dressed up the room and added a charming touch. The tables were set with an array of dazzling gold candle holders and vases. The white, black and gold color palette gave an elegant touch to the design and the napkins folded into bows added a hint of class and sophistication. The tables were topped with gorgeous flower arrangements on large candelabras. The dessert table was decorated with a variety delicious desserts and a stunning wedding cake. The best part is that this was a total surprise for our parents. When they arrived they were so taken aback and touched, even a few tears were shed. Friends and relatives from many cities and states gathered together and joined in the celebration of the 25th wedding anniversary of our wonderful parents. It was an incredible night for everyone filled with special moments and memories that will last a lifetime.
